Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Ford Expedition V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

OK I have checked the batt, Alt, starter, ect. But it won't start. It will crank and begin to start but right after it will shut down. Now if you would start the truck and hold the gas down it would run but it was struggling. I replaced the fuel filter I thought that was the problem, but nothing. It even seems to be worst now than it was before. I know a lot about how to fix things but I am unable to troubleshoot. Could you please help me I am at a loss. Thank you Dayna

Hi dayna. Well if it starts at all. It is fireing so that eliminates a lot of things. So we are pretty sure this is a fuel or exhaust prob. So first check fuel pressure with a guage. Got good fuel pressure. Pump is ok no or low fuel pressure pump is bad. Next if fuel delivery is ok. Check injector. Buy a noid light pretty cheap at local parts store. Check each injector unplug injector plug noid light in crank light flashes. Ok. These test all pass fuel delivery is ok secondary and primary ignition are ok. Restricted convertor or eng mechanical.
