2000 Ford Expedition car wont start

2000 Ford Expedition V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

i have a 2000 ford expedition 5.4L and at first it would just crank but wouldnt actually turn on so I decided to change the fuel filter well turns out that it was clogged up but now when I try to start it it turns on for about 3 seconds then starts to die out as if there is no gas. There is gas in the truck so what else could it be?

If the fuel filter helped, chances are it is fuel related. I would start by checking fuel pump pressure. Here is a how to for checking it.

You will need a fuel gauge to check it. Most parts stores will lend or rent one to you.
