Engine Performance problem 1999 Ford Expedition Two Wheel Drive 208k miles I change the oil in my truck regularly but have noticed a white creamy spot twice on the inside of the oil cap. Also I just had a tune up done but I noticed that sometimes when I start it it sputters or has a hard time turning over but I am mostly concerned about the oil

Have you noticed any contamination on the dipstick? Let me know. Also, have you ever replaced the PCV valve? If it's plugged, it will cause condensation in the engine.

No, I haven't noticed any contamination on the dipstick so that's why I was wondering what that white stuff could be. I haven't checked the valve but 3 months ago I had all the gaskets, hoses, & spark plugs etc. Changed. I can't be sure but i'll check pcv valve tomorrow. Can it possibly plug on its own? If it's not that what else could it be?
