1998 Ford Expedition Engine bogs down at idle

The engine bogs down at idle while in gear or not, but has not stalled. It drives fine, until you bring it to a stop and then it bogs down, but never stalls. There isn't any smoke of any color coming from the tailpipe. The temp stays level whether idling or while driving and oil pressure stays put. Also the check engine light stays lit all the time.

Go to Autozone its a free public service and have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.
