1998 Ford Expedition back tires locking when when turning

When I turn right my left back tire will skip or lock. It does the same when I turn left my right tire does it. I replace the tires after this started. I had also replaced the fluid in diff and put in slip fliud what else could it be, And it's not in four wheel drive I can hear it locking when I put it in and out. Please help.

Here is a tech bulletin from Ford about it.
CHATTERING FROM LIMITED SLIP REAR AXLE ON TURNS TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN Reference Number(s): 98-11-7, Â Date of Issue: Â June 8, 1998 Related Ref Number(s): 98-11-7 ARTICLE BEGINNING CONDITIONS NOISE - "CHATTERING" NOISE FROM REAR AXLE HEARD ON TURNS OR WHEN CORNERING - VEHICLES WITH LIMITED SLIP AXLE AXLE - LIMITED SLIP - REAR AXLE "CHATTERING" NOISE ON TURNS OR WHEN CORNERING APPLICATION Model(s): Ford Light Truck: 1997-98 E-150, Expedition, F-150, F-250 LD Lincoln-Mercury: 1998 Navigator Bulletin No.: 98-11-7 Date: June 8, 1998 ISSUE A "chattering" noise from the rear axle may be heard when turning or cornering. This may be due to differentials containing clutch packs that have been gauged too tightly. ACTION Install new Traction-Lok Clutch Pack Kit. Refer to the following SERVICE PROCEDURE for details. SERVICE PROCEDURE 1. Confirm axle chatter with road test. 2. Once axle chatter has been confirmed, remove and discard old clutch packs, shims and Belleville springs. Refer to the appropriate Workshop Manual for details. NOTE: Subtract 0.25 mm (0.010") from feeler gauge reading taken during shim selection using service tools and procedures indicated on instruction sheets packaged with kits.3. Install Clutch Pack Kit F75Z-4947-AA for 9.75-inch ring gear Traction-Lok axles and Kit F75Z-4947-AB for 10.25-inch ring gear Traction-Lok axles. There is a second one about binding in 4X4, is this your problem, or just happens all the time? I'll email the other one so you can look it over...

OK, Probably the one I posted above then. Do you have the Ford rims or an aftermarket oversized wheels?

Depends on your skill level as a mechanic, it does require a special tool to test the trac lock assembly as well. It requires disassembly of the unit. If you have not done these before I recommend taking it to Ford.
