1998 Ford Expedition 98 Exedition dies when I put in drive

Ok I have 98 expedition I just put a used transmission 80,000 miles 2 weeks ago runs fine shifts great it seems no metal or slug in pan, Anyway hers my problem all of the sudden today it start idleing rough and died ever time I stopped then it will start back up but leave the stop sluggish then once u get moving its fine till I have to stop again. No I have it home I get in start it and then put it in reverse runs fine no drop in rpms then when I put it in drive studders then dies every time I already changed the nuteral switch so thats out could it be a sensor or something.I used all of my old sensors and silonoids from my old transmission. Any help would be much apprecaited. Thanks

It sounds like you did it the right way. Has the check engine light come on? When you put it in gear, does it learch before the engine dies? Could it be a fuel pump issue? Have you checked pressure?

Ya sometimes it it just dies others it idles rough then chokes out and dies. No mil light havn, t checked the fuel preasure but I think its good engine runs strong in pak or nuteral.I was looking up some torque convertor locking- up forums and I think I have some of those symptoms cars stalls as soon as u put in drive but will go with gas but its like leaveing a stop in a standard car in the wrong gear but once u get up to speed it plains out I was hopeing thats not it stumpped im goning to try tapping on the convertor in the mornig see if it frees up fingers crossed.

IT was the TCC sensor or sillynoid just changed the the hole board works great sucks cause this the third time I have the pan off witthout makeing a mess. Hope this will help somebody in the future.

I had a feeling that was the problem, but without the check engine light, I didn't want to say it and be wrong having you spend the money for no reason.
