93 ford escort gt 1.8

has about 480000 miles old but in decent condition.

anyways like I said when I start the car up and start driving everything runs fine. But once I reach normal temp. And stop at a light or drive very slowly the car stalls and will not start back up until the engine is totally cooled. I recently changed the water pump, battery, allturnator, and a lot more thing. (For all different reasons) I have looked at other sites that people have had simalur problems and so far I have seen people say: o2 sensor, idle air control valve, pressure regulator, and throttle position sensor.

please if you have any ideas tell me!

The car doesnt stall at every light but just once in a while but still at every light I get nervous and and just shift it into nuteral and keep the rpms up as much as possible. But the check engine light comes on before it stalls or acts like it wants to stall. I have taken it in to a shop recently and they said they kept it running and drove a 1/4 tank of gas out of it and found nothing. But of course as soon as I drove the car home got home parked the car turned it off and then tried starting it back up and of course it wouldnt start. When it does this some times I can start it back up by flooring it and reving the engine for a little while and it will run fine for a little while but then once again sometimes it just wont start up unitl the car is cooled back down. It acts like its flooded or something. But everyone tells me different things to try and I dont even know where to begin. Yesturday I changed to plugs and they were just gone. Put the new plugs in hoping it would run a little better but nothing changed. I have changed the wire that didnt change anything either. I am going to try and take it back up to a shop and see if a macanic will take a ride with me and see if he can tell me what the problem could be since it wont act up for them but it probaly wont act up with them in the car.
