Hi there im new to this site and I was wondering if anyone could help me.
ive noticed that when I accelerate, the car pulls to the right. If I accelerate quickly it is sharper and more noticeable. Then if I take my foot off the accelerater it jerks back to the left again where it was before. There doesnt seem to be any tire wear on the car altho the steering is a bit heavy according to my stepdad (i havent been driving long so I didnt personally notice) Im planning on taking it to a garage later in the week but I would like to have a vague idea what might be wrong with it when I get there to save time and possibly expense (you never know with garages these days!) Any suggestions would be appreciated :D thanx for reading this!

Hey shaz,
Though alignment may be your issue, there are some other things that can cause this condition. Motor mounts, front suspension (struts, mounts, ball joints etc.) Even the front brakes hanging up. I would recommend to have the front end checked out thoroughly and an accurate diagnosis by that shop before you authorize any work to it!

First off, you need to do some homework and find a reputable shop. Otherwise you have no one to blame but yourself. I would avoid commission paid places, chain shops like midas, goodyear etc. Dealers are hit and miss. In my area they are brutal, but not everywhere. You can further help yourself by checking the tire pressures and giving the shop of your choice as much information as possible to help them troubleshoot regarding anything that is affecting the situation.

You may some torque steer problems that may or may not be normal.

Ive checked the tyre pressues I did that last night checked against the handbook and theyre all completely normal ? Ill take it into the local garage and see what they say. Its not a chain shop and I think my parents have had work done on their cars there before and that turned out okay (there are very few garages around here) again thanx for your reply!

Somtimes it is easier to link an answer than to expain it. Why re-invent the wheel. :)

That particular writer had a good touch of humour and cynicism mix.
