I have a 97 ford escort 180,000, recently when I have been putting it into gear it has stalled several times and when I have come up to traffic lights it feels like it is missing and that it wants to stall. It has also done this several times during sharp cornering, now it's not doing this all the time just once in a while, any ideas on what may be causing this?

With no engine codes, it may be a little hard to find. I would check for a vacuum leak. How long has it been since you had a tune up? Some other things that could cause this are dirty throttle body, dirsty or malfunctioning fuel injector, incorrect fuel pressure, IAC valve, dirsty Mass Air Flow Sensor, and plenty of other things. You are just going to have to start eliminating things one by one.
