Engine Performance problem
2000 Ford Escort 4 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 100151 miles

Car starts up fine, drives but when I slow down or stop the car makes noise and shakes like it wants to stop, at times it has. I thought it was the spark plugs. They were changed still the same thing.
We noticed a wire wasn`t connected and looks damaged. Oil is on the spark plugs. May need a valve cover.I`ve had a lot of work on this car. If I`ve had alot of work on my engine, my car shoudn`t be acting like it is. Any ideas.

Try changing the pcv valve its only a couple of bucks
