STEERING PUMP (2.0L)

Removal
Remove the power steering pump reservoir
Remove the power steering pump pulley
Raise and support the vehicle.
Remove the six bolts and the right hand splash shield. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose.

Lower the vehicle.
Loosen the clamp and disconnect the power steering pump reservoir to pump hose.
Remove the three bolts and remove the power steering pump.
Use Pulley Remover to remove the power steering pump pulley hub, if necessary.

Installation
Use (A) Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacer to install the (B) power steering pump pulley hub, if necessary.
Position the power steering pump, install and tighten the bolts to specification.
Connect the power steering reservoir pump hose and tighten the clamp to specification, Raise and support the vehicle.

NOTE:Install a new teflon seal 388898-S on the power steering pressure hose fitting before connecting the hose.

Connect the power steering pressure hose and tighten to specification,
Install the right hand lower splash shield. Lower the vehicle.
Install the power steering pump pulley, Install the power steering pump reservoir,
Fill the power steering system.
