Depends on which motor. This is for the 2.0L SOHC engines

REMOVAL:

Insert a 3 / 8 in. Drive ratchet or a breaker bar in the hole on the automatic tensioner, then pull the tool toward the front of the vehicle.
While releasing the belt tension, remove the drive belt from the tensioner pulley and slip it off the remaining accessory pulleys.

INSTALLATION:

Position the drive belt over the accessory pulleys.
Insert the 3 / 8 in. Drive ratchet or breaker bar into the hole of the automatic tensioner, then pull the tool toward the front of the vehicle.
While holding the tool in this position, slip the drive belt behind the tensioner pulley and release the tool.
Remove the tool from the automatic tensioner.
Check that all V-grooves make proper contact with the pulley.
