The heater / AC fan does not work on any setting. The fuse is good. The radio has been taken out. Is the radio being removed have any thing to do with the fan not getting power? There is a bunch of wires and a large conector seen where the radio was. I can't believe that all those connect to the radio. Someone else took the radio out.

Ok the radio if just unpluged and removed has no affect on the blower motor. There is a lot of wires that go the radio power speakers ground lighting of the radio and dimming of the radio when the headlights are turned on. So with that I would either suspect the blower motor or the switch or the blower motor resister. Now if you have a digital multi meter or test light I can walk you through some tests to see what the problem is. Get back to me and we will go from there.

OK, I now have the car back home. Sorry for the delay. I have a test light so I will now test for current at the fan location and work toward the switch, which may be difficult to get at, or is there a easy way to get at the back of the switch.

At the fan, there are two connections. A single wire that has power. A four connector that one wire has power while the AC is on. The other three are no go.

Ok does the blower motor work at all? This is going to sound strange but do the wiper work? If not check the wiper fuse as this is tied to the system too. From here if the wipers are working then we will check the blower motor resister ok. There is 4 wires to this they are dk blue with yellow stripe = 1st speed. Then dk blue = 2nd speed. Then dk blue with red stripe = 3rd speed and finally dk blue with white stipe 4th speed. With a test light check for power at these wires in the right setting at the blower motor resistor on ht eheater box. Should look something like the pic below.

OK, one has power, I believe it is the Blue with Brown strip. The other three now power on any speed setting. Wipers work.

OK if you would sense it ins't hard to do pull the blower motor resistor and inspect it for any signs of burning or broken resistor. Here is what it will look like from the other side. If you look at the pic you can the coils this is what determines the speed. So just look them over for any breaks or burns. Let me know what you find here.

Does the wires carry power to this resistor? I check the Male plugs and no power at all. Just that one Blue/ white stripped wire. I will check tomorrow. Have to go to work now. Thanks, and I will donate more tomorrow for your help.

Ok so you only get power at the dk blue wire witht he white stripe. Ok now I need you to check the switch as this looks like it may be your issure. If you can get to it I need you to check if there is power at the orange wire with the dk blue stripe at the switch. If there is power there then the switch is bad. Let me know what you find.

Took the resistor out. Power on one side of diode not the other. Blue single wire has power. $16 to replace. Was not the problem. Still no fan.

Ok well no need to test that any further. I didn't mean to replace that yet just test it any way lets move on. Have you pulled the blower motor and hooked it up to the battery to see if it works on its own? If not then make a couple of jumper leads one fused and one not. Hook the fused to the + side of battery and the other to the - and then hook them up to motor see if it works. Let me know what you find if this works then we need to look closer at the switch ok. If it don't work the it is bad and needs to be replaced. Let me know how it goes.

When I tested the Diode, the gentleman at the parts store told me to use a wire to jump the diode to see if the fan worked. He said just a quick tap with the wire. The fan did work.

OK I would not have done it that way because if the motor had a short you would have been buying a new blower motor resistor too. Now with that then it is either the switch or wiring to the switch. I need to know if the orange wire with the dk blue stripe going to the switch has power. If so then I would have to say the switch is bad. You can buy this new or at a wrecking or salvage yard. Here is a pic.
