Hi I own a ford escort finesse 1999 and the heater blower as stoped working, ive checked the fuses and they are all ok ive been told by a garage that it sounds like the solder on the back of the fuse box as broken away and is a common fault with fords is this true and can I fix it myself or is it a garage job.
Thanks

Check blower motor !

Disconnect the wiring plug at the blower motor
with key ON heater switch on high
check at the plug(blower motor wiring harness plug ) for battery power on one wire and for ground on the other wire
if you have both remove and replace the motor
if missing power check wiring fuses and ignition switch
if no ground check and replace blower motor speed resister
good luck
