My 1995 ford escort has the 1.8L engine stalls everyrtime I make a right turn Only if the tank is below 1/2. What could cause this?

That is an interesting one. I would say the strainer in the tank is plugging and not allowing fuel to get to the fuel pump. You will need to remove the pump to check that. Also, make sure the fuel filter is clean. If you haven't replaced it in some time, it may be a good idea.
