IT is a Ford 2005 Ford Escape with 70,000 miles; automatic.

I have had the oil changed every 3000 miles.

I recently had the 60,000 mile check up at the tune of $700

It is a 4 cylinder.

It stalls and quits when you you have driven on the highway for about 20 minutes, and the exit. It is at the exit opoint, when you are slowing down, that the car stall and then quits running. It takes a couple of minutes to restart.

It is at the Ford shop, and they have reset the computer on the car. They have driven it, and it did not stall on them.

The VIN is 1FMYU02Z85KB52344.

Thanks for your help!

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

There will be a few tests that should be done when it stalls to try and pin point the cause, they will have to check for spark, fuel pressure, injection pulse, if it is something controlled by the engine management system, it will set a fault code in the ecu memory, if not it will be something not under the direct control of the ecu, I would be asking the dealer if they are checking these first, even if the car has not stalled on them, and the memory has not been re set, the original fault code if any will still be set in the ecu memory.
