Brakes problem
2004 Ford Escape 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have had my breaks squeaking, but instead of squeaking when they are pressed down, they are squeaking when I release the brake. Its rear driverside.

can someone tell me what I need to have done about this?

If its the brakes that making the noise and its stop as soon as you step on brake paddle
its an indication that its due for a brake job
should pull wheels and check
let me know

It doesn't do it when you press the break, but once its pressed completely, and when its coming back up, it begins to squeak about half way.

It squeaking when its coming back up to the resting position is what has me confused.

I would still remove tire and check the brakes
and if all OK
use some syntactic caliper grease and lube metal area and contact area
use E brake and release few times
