1999 Ford E-Series Van alternator

I want to replace my alternator with a new one. Not sure how to go about doing this? I want to do it easeist way I can. Can you help me?

Hi Roger,

Easiest way is to get some one to do the job for you. ;)

Removal & Installation (Econoline - Upper Generator)
1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air cleaner bolts and loosen clamp. Position air cleaner assembly to one side. Disconnect MAF electrical connector (except on dual generator models). On 4.6L, remove spark plug wire routing clips from generator. On all models, remove plenum -to- generator bracket bolts, if equipped.
2. Remove drive belt from generator pulley. Disconnect generator electrical connectors. Remove mounting bolts and generator from vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification.
