1993 Ford E-Series Van Steering Failure

Replaced PS Pump. Bled PS system. Easy/normal steering to the left. Hard/impossible steering to the right.

Usually when this happens it's the steering box is worn. Make sure ot have the front end checked so it' s not something else. Also make sure to go lokto lock in both directions as that forces the air out of the system.

I have the same van and I had the same problem.
Its your steering box that is shot.

Providing you have not hit a curb or super pot hole AND be SURE to go lock to lock when you replace the box and lost fuid from the change out.

AND BE SURE the new box is installed with the box center nuteral in the center position or your steering wheel will be of center when you are done reconnecting the box link to the steering colum or drag link.

Oh and one more thing To make all of this a bit easier to do. When you start all of this it helps to have the wheels STRAIGHT and the steering is center nuteral on the OLD box BEFORE you take it out
