I have a 96 crown vic and the car will start and run only if I have my foot on the gas. The second I let off the gas the vehicle stalls. Can anyone tell me where to start to fix this problem?
Thanks, Jerry

Jerry it sounds to like the IAC motor is bad. (Idle air control ). It is a round cyclinder looking theng that sets up on top of the throttle body it has two wires hooked to it. It may need a good cleaning. Dont get carb cleaner back into is motor split the two peices and then clean the cyclinder real good. Open the throttle plate and spray around in there real good spray it on a rag and wipe both sides of the throttle plate real good. CAUTION if the tps is laying on the bottom side of the throttle plate do not get carb cleaner in it. Or it is dun for. (NOS) 8)
