Power lock failure

My car has 95,000 miles. It has recently had an issue with the power locks. All of a sudden, they all stopped working. I cannot lock them from the driver side nor the passenger side. I have already checked all the fuses and circuit breakers in the car (drivers side knee panel) and under the hood (left passenger side). According to my Hayes manual, there are no other fuse locations. I am seriously lost on this one, being that I cannot "power" lock or unlock the car from any door, I thought for sure it was a fuse/relay/circuit breaker. Any other ideas on what can cause this type of malfunction? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hello Arosado,

In the battery junction box under the hood, there is a number 7 circuit breaker, it has 20 A on it. It is hot all the time.
If the CB is good and there is power to it, check power from the circuit breaker to the splice, making sure the black and white wire from the CB to the splice is not broken. There is also a splice before the ground and the ground itself.

I have 1999 CV power door lock and power trunk opener systems failure. I tested all fuses and CB's even though I have 12.5 volts at the rocker switch and trunk button. I tested rocker switch in lock and unlock positions and voltage transfer is good to one switch pin each in each position. The other two pins read nothing. There is full system voltage at the trunk button and when depressed it transfers voltage to the other pin every time. I hunted for a relay but to no avail. Sad to say I cannot figure this one out! Somebody help!

Hello, there is a drivers door module and a control relay. Here is a guide to help you test the relay and a wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works:

Check out the wiring diagrams and relay location (below). Please let us know what you find.

Cheers, Ken
