1998 Ford Contour Running engine and almost stalling

Hi. I have a '98 Ford Contour. I just had the fuel pump replaced at a Ford dealership one week ago. I was driving home and just made it to my driveway when the car started jerking and almost stalling. In park, it starts normally and sounds normal but it will start to fade and then come back, fade and come back.

If it is surging it could have a bad IAC (idle air control valve) seen it many times on Fords and they dont usually set the check engine light. Check for vacuum leaks first though, use carb cleaner and carefully spray around the intake system, when the idle changes, you have found a leak
