To replace an alternator, how do I get the original out and where is the tentioner located?

I'm not sure you can read that, the part with the wrench on it, is the tensioner, takes a 13 mm socket, I believe. The picture is the courtesy of AZ.

I just wanted to add, if you can remove the alternator without going through the database procedures, that is fine. Sometimes I don't use those procedures, if I see a better way, better for me anyway.
