1999 Ford Contour alternator replacement

Have removed 2 long bolts thru alt frame, removed major output connection, removed resonating chamber(for access as per Haynes), but cant get tension off belt. Has idler in front of alt and tensioner below. Belt it tite. Cant find anything to pry against to ease tension. Help. Sitting still cause car wont go. Mike

Here is a diagram of the belt which includes where the automatic tensionier is located. Let me know if it helps.
