I am replacing the alternator & trying to get the alternator out of the car & need to know the trick to replacing it as easily as possible. I just read a response to someone else's question (on a different website) that said to unbolt the engine & jack it up & move it over a few inches! I have the belt off the alternator & the upper bolt
out, but the lower bolt cannot be removed. 2 inches to go & it hits the inner fender well. I was thinking of drilling a hole in the metal fender to get the bolt out, but I don't have along enough bit! Thank you

Its actually- ". Remove upper alternator bolt and loosen lower one".

You can't remove lower bolt in vehicle but lower bolt mount is slotted lengthwise so if you loosen bolt the whole thing will wrestle out but remember to partially install this bolt to new alternator and it helps to lube mount areas for easier wrestling. Enjoy!
