my heat hand on my car is on normal but it stay at a high normal and after I run my heater for a while there is like a smell of something smoking you have an answer?

Do you have a smoke inside the car
check under hood for leaks (oil---coolant)
if you put the heater on defrost does your front windshield fogs on you if so check/replace heater core
