Turns over but wont start 87 Ford Bronco 2 2.9

My father hooked his battery up wrong. Now his bronco will turnover but not start. We replaced fuel relay switch and chaecked his in tank fuel pump which is working when wired up direct. So we know it isnt the fuel pump. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Were was the relay switch. I'm having problems with my bronco. I have no power to the pumps. I got my wife to pick up a new switch but I don't think its the right one.

The relay is on the passenger side looking from the front 3rd one back

If its not that I did it once it might have blown out the main fuse.
