Hard cold start

Still trying to get my 90 ford bronco to start. Fuel pressures and volume are perfect, checked icm, ohms test, all ok. When I turn the key on the check engine light comes on and stays on for about 5 minutes, during this time the engine will turn over but won't even attempt to start. No fuel smell, it appears as if the injectors aren't getting a signal to fire. Also the coil has fire. As soon as the light turns off it will start with no problem and start all day after that. Oh yes, 5.8 engine with e4od tranny. Sure would like to get this thing running

Check the coolant temperature sensor's resistances hot and cold-this sensor demands for fuel during initial cold starts something like a carb. choke and also check the following below

The 5.8/351 is not giving me an igniton system type-Do you have a distributor or direct ignition system? Go head and review below and comeback with the type of igntion. In the event you have a distributor you might want to check the resistances of the distributor pick-coil inside.

Injector pulse, the computer has to get a crank signal before it pulses the injector/s. Might also want to check the fuel pressure-bcuz if its not up to specs. it will not deliver the fuel as required.
