I have an 89 Ford Bronco11 w/185, ooo miles. Truck would crank but not start so first checked spark @coil. Had bright blue spark. Checked sparked @plug (#4). Had bright blue spark. So I decided to check fuel system. No fuel coming out of shrader valve on rail. Turned engine to "on" position and listened for fuel pump to "whirl". Did not come on. Replaced fuel pump. Still would not start. No pressure at shrader valve. New pump did not come on and make whrirling sound. Replaced fuel pump relay. Finally pump is working but Bronco will crank but not start. Have about 38psi @Shrader valve. #1 piston is on compression stroke with #1 plug so I'm stumped. The timing, firing and fuel all seem to be working properly but Bronco cranked and started one time only and ran for about 20 seconds before I turned the ignition off thinking I had fixed the problem. It hasn't cranked again. Please Help

Don't have access to any manuals on that vehicle but is there any posibility that the vehicle has a crank sensor or cam sensor?

Problem fixed, dropped tank, removed new pump and reinstalled. Removed relay and reinserted. Now truck runs like a champ. Thanks but still puzzeled.
