Something else, but put a meter on the battery when running to see if the alt is putting out14-18 volts. I also use the old test of a screwdriver to the back of the alt at the bearing to see if the magnetic field exists. When the alt runs it should create a magnietic field and attract the screwdriver blade. It might be slight but it should happen. Big time check is the cables and the connections. The connections are hugh.
