Dead end hose

1996 Ford Bronco, 80000 miles, 302ci engine.
I have a check engine light that is giving me a code for "low secondary air flow", so I started checking vacuum lines and all seem intact. I traced the hose from the air pump to the black canister, and there is a dead end hose coming out of the canister, looks like it was chewed off my an animal, but I dont' see anywhere it could go to. Is there supposed to be, or am I just not seeing the other end.

Thank you, Josh

I don't even know if it part of the vacuum system to be honest, this is just where I ended up. There is some sort of pump driven by the serp. Belt that is just under the alternator. It has a black hose going to a black can on the passenger side fender. There is another hose on the "pump", but I haven't traced that one out yet. But there is a "chewed" off hose coming from that black can. I have no idea what system it is part of, that is what I am trying to find out. Thanks for the reply.

Sorry to jump in justanold, but that sounds like the smog pump. And if you're looking at the front of the engine towards the rear, there are two lines coming off the side. One I believe goes towards the firewall and the other goes up over the passenger wheel into a metal canister with what looks like a blow off valve on top of it. The hose I believe you're talking about comes off that can and runs towards the heater core? I have one too, and I believe it's just a vent valve for the smog canister, but prove me wrong and I'll be happy :)
