The thing seems to do this worse when it is really cold outside but it will start and drive then at low speeds predominantly the check engine light will come on and the transmission will shift up or down UN-neccessarily and continue doing so untill I gas on it? Very strange I suspect it to be ECM issues but the air temp making it worse makes me think otherwise. Input please! It is the E4AOD trans.

Ok so I scaned for codes and had egr flo insufficient so I checked that out and found a broke off vaccum line so I replaced it. Drove it to work that afternoon did excellent no check engine light or anything but when I got off at 5am it started cutting out and almost dying at times then began backfiring when I tried to floorboard it. When it would cut out the check engine light would flicker ad well as the right turn signal indicator? Help please!
