4x4 slipping into neutral while in 4 high!
while driving im having a problem with it just out of the blue slipping into neutral I have electronic shift so it shouldnt be sloppy linkage. Could it be a bad shift motor goes in and out good just wont stay in 4 hi when driving down the road! Its not in the transmission it has to do with neutral in tranfer case everything works good in 2 high or 4 low just not in 4 high any help would be appreciated
thanks

Hi, have you looked at the coolant, and transmission fluid I want you to let me know how the transmission oil smells and if its dirty at all, then if you like we'll go through some self tests on the PCM, its up to you of course, is or was there any indicator liht? You have the larger v8? And this is only in 4 high? So its driveable correct? The transfer shift isn't feeling different in anyway? The transfer case, transmission both have self-diagnostics, which is very much ahead of it's time for a 93, if you have a scan tool this way would be the best for testing the transfer case module and its operating motor and inputs, if you need help, just let me know, its not too bad to get fault codes for herlp. Ok
