Electrical problem
1992 Ford Bronco V8 Four Wheel Drive Manual

I got a 1992 Ford Bronco. When I turn the key to start it, the fuel pump comes on and it stays on/running for about 5 minutes. The engine will not start while the pump is on. When the pump shuts off the engine will start, but it sounds like its not getting enough fuel. After reving it a couple of times the idle is back to normal and it runs fine. Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks in advance.

It sounds like a bad fuel pump. Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Here is a how to. Check it and let me know what you find.

I have the same exact problem, EXCEPT I changed the Fuel Pump twice.

New Fuel Filter
New Regulator
.
Its like it wont hold its prime.
I checked the fuel pressure, but thats the problem, it will work perfectly fine, but on random it wont have the pressure.

Also, check the connection on your fuel pump, the clip that holds it down on the tank might explain it cutting off - that was the problem with mine, it wasnt secure.
