1990 Ford Bronco starting

I have a bronco 2 at times it will not start I can smell gas like it is flooding out I was told it could be the fuel pump it cranks over just fine but wont start once it does it may go a month without doing it again please help me out I love this ole truck

If you smell gas while you cranking then the pump is pumping (may be )
you need to check for spark '
and if you have spark then check fuel pressure
