1988 Ford Bronco

My 88 Bronco will start, run for a bit, then stall when put into gear. Any Ideas?

You have to do some diagnostic. Does it have fuel pressure when it dies? After it stalls, does it have spark? If spark and fuel are present, does it have a major vacuum leak, possible from EGR valve malfunction? Check and return. Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Also, does it start right back up for you? Finally, has the check engine light come on?
