Transmission problem
1986 Ford Bronco V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

recently my rear end went out and I replaced it. When I went to the beach and had to lock in 4 wheel drive the truck did not want to go in reverse. And it seemed like the brakes where locked when we bleed the brakes and then disconnected the brakes it was just the rear end locked up so we disconnected the drive shaft and still have no reverse. Can some one tell me if my transmission is out now or what.

When you put it in reverse, does the engine lug like it's trying to move the truck, or does it rev like it is in neutral? Did it do the same thing in 2wd? Could you drive forward in 4wd?
