I drive a 2004 Lexus RX330 with about 87,000 miles on it. During last visit at Lexus, the gentleman quoted me a flush engine. I heard different opinions online about it. Is that something I want to do on my vehicle? What exactly a flush engine entails and can I do it on my own if it's a recommended procedure by car maker?

An engine flush is a way of helping remove carbon and sludge build up in the engine, all you do is add a bottle of brand name flush to the oil and run the engine until normal operating temp then do an oil change, always follow the instructions on the bottle of flush, you do not have to do this every service, so if it has not been done it would not hurt to do it.
