I had a random question. I'm trying to connect a component and the installation manual tells me to find the wire that "shows ground" under a certain condition. What does this mean and how can I determine this using a multi-meter?

Good morning,

What are you trying to install? I need specifics.

As far as the ground, you would need a test light for that. You can get one at any parts store.

I am installing a remote starter, I need to find the wire that shows ground from the park/neutral safety switch connector when the transmission is in park or neutral.

Okay, I attached a diagram for you to view. The black wire is the one you need for the ground.

So the black wire will only show ground only when in Park or Neutral?

Correct. It will only show ground in park and neutral as the diagram shows.
