Should there be two actuators on the drivers side? I have found one directly above the accelerator pedal, but after removing it and turning the door by hand it changed the air temperature on the drivers side.

Yes, there are 2. One for the blend door and one for the mode control. Look above it and toward the firewall.

Use a nice bright LED light to find it.

See if vacuum is going to motor in picture. It can be reached through driver's foot well. If it is the vacuum motor is bad, if not check for a vacuum leak at heater switch it may be leaking there.

No leak at heater switch, it appears to be no leak under the hood. I need a better pic of what the vacuum motor looks like. Pulled the radio again & new Acuator is doing what it is supposed to be doing. Question! If blend door is opening when turn controls from hot/cold, will it be quiet? I'm to the point where I feel that I'm going to have to sell a grandchild to get it fixed. Air is blowing cold, just need it to blow at me instead of front windshield. Perplexed in Houston, TX.

Why my air don't come thru my front ac vents. It blows thru my defrost only. Everything seems normal, it blows cold. Everything seems to be normal.I cant get it to blow thru the vents.I have a broken plastic line.I need to find out where it goes so it can come thru the front vents. Is there any possible way that you can help me get going. It would be a great help if you can help me.

That plastic line is most likely the vacuum hose that runs the heater controls. The mode doors are spring-loaded to default to the defrost position for safety. Your feet might freeze but your windshield will be clear. this guide can help

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/air-vents-stay-in-the-defrost-position

There's a vacuum hose routing diagram on a sticker under the hood. If that broken hose is cracked, you can splice it with a piece of rubber hose. If it has a rubber fitting on the end, it came off the check valve which will be laying nearby.

The red arrow in picture shows what this looks like this is accessed through driver's foot-well. That means by the gas pedal. There is a shield that other arrows point to so it can be removed.

Finally! The simplest thing, I retraced my steps & checked everything I had done. The problem was the tiny black hose was connected to the wrong valve behind the glovebox, now have AC Blowing out the dash. Replies very much appreciated.

I have heat coming out of my defrost vents but no heat or air coming out the front vents of the car. The lever for the actuator door does seem to move up and down freely and you can hear it blowing air but nothing comes out only on defrost.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a vacuum line under the hood that is broken/not connected. Here is a guide to help you see what to look for:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/air-vents-stay-in-the-defrost-position

Life the hood and look for the small vacuum line headed into your firewall which suppies vacuum to the heater controls.

Please run down this guide and report back.

Cheers, Ken

Check for a vacuum leak to the panel/vacuum motor it is accessed through drivers footwell, see picture. If motor gets vacuum when set on dash then the motor is bad, if no vacuum it may leak at control.

All air is coming only from the defrost. No matter where the selector is set, there is no movement from defrost. I removed the vacuum connector from the rear of the selector switch and did not hear or feel any vacuum. No hissing can be heard from under the dash when the engine is running. Thank you in advance for any help

If there is no vacuum supply from the motor, then it won't work. Trace the vacuum hose back through the firewall to the engine compartment. Chances are it is either broken, disconnected, or there is a big enough vacuum leak causing low pressure. this guide can help us fix it

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/air-vents-stay-in-the-defrost-position

please let us know?

***SOLVED***

I found that the black "plastic" line coming from the firewall to a vacuum "T" was broken. I removed the broken piece and inserted the line into the rubber boot. Works fine now.

Thanks jacobandnickolas for the reply!
