I have been told I need a new fuel pump, although I just installed a new one about two months ago. The car runs great once it is started, but is getting harder and harder to start. Could the new pump be faulty, or is it likely another problem? Does a bad fuel pump always cause delays/pauses when driving, because I do not have either of these problems? Thanks!

Fuel pumps can cause hard starting and they are mechanical so they do fail especially the cheap ones. Bad pumps cause different sort of problems check fuel pressure with a gauge auto parts rent it. see link.
