I'm told an EVAP line on the top of the tank is the problem. I don't know what size or type of hose to get from the parts store? Wasn't able to locate online either. Please advise. Mileage is 243,000 sorry for mistake.

Welcome to 2CarPros. Without knowing where and which line is the leak the only way to repair it would be to use a smoke machine and discover if it's a steel line or plastic and what and where it is broken. There are many places it could be leaking, a cracked or corroded fuel filler neck, the fuel pump or one of the various lines. Even from the tank itself.
If you can narrow it down through a smoke test it would give you a starting point.
