You have a P0132?That trumps your P0174 O2 sensor codes get looked at first when set with the code P0174.

Could the intake temp sensor not having the correct reading cause the rough idle and cause the high fuel trim?

Does it still appear to be a vacuum leak?

I ha've seen the inlet air temp unplugged and still run ok I would fix that for sure. But the p0132 is o2 sensor high voltage so if the o2 is reading too high then it would set a p0174 system rich correct? Also I have seen high voltage o2 readings cause a unstable idle because the computer is taking away fuel to try to correct the o2 reading so rich.

Makes sense. Are you suggesting the O2 sensor is faulty?

Hello,

I think I found issue. Last night I pulled the EGR valve off and cleaned it out. It did not appear to be sticking and did not leak but I could see the Gasket was not in the best shape. I cleaned it all up and put it back on using sealant and fixed the stripped bolt.

I then used a spray rubber sealant and spayed all of the vaccume hoses and all around the Intake Manifold gasket and let it dry overnight. This morning the car purred like a kitten and even better the engine did not surge or shake at idle anymore. Beautiful!

As I drove to work I was reading the Fuel Trims and the Short Term FT was back and fourth between 5% LEAN (-) and would sometimes swing up but no higher than 15% and that was rare. The Long Term FT averaged around 14%.

At Idle the Fuel Trim averaged around 12% but no higher. This is much improvment than before!

You were definantly right about the vaccum leak!
