Will an 2005 LS fit in without a lot of mount modes? I expect a wire harness change but all that will come with engine along with emc from pick and pull.

Good morning,

Yes, it will fit in with not a lot of problems.

You will need mounts and possible cross-member relocation if you are using another transmission.

The wiring harness will need to be modified as you already know.

Because LS swaps are a popular thing you can get stand alone PCM's and harness kits reasonable. Those allow you to run the engine in just about any application. The harness comes with a more universal set of outputs as well.

No, the motor mount locations are the same.

The cross member for the transmission will have to be adapted. You will need to drill holes for the mounting of the cross member.
