Engine stalls for split second while running

Harder to start then it used to be in colder weather. Have to plug it in for a while to block heater at higher outside temps then in the past. Momentarily dies while running but usually keeps running. Quit one time while just idling. Quit one time while driving but fired right up again when turned over. When cranking and not starting- puffs out white to grey smoke out of exhaust more then it used too.

Good morning,

The first thing that comes to mind is the ignition switch. A very common failure for issues like this in the past.

You may want to call the dealer and give them your VIN number and see if there are any outstanding recalls for your truck.

I attached the location of the switch for you. It is at the bottom of the column with a rod that connects it to the key cylinder at the top. You remove the 2 attaching screws and the rod and it will come out.
