Engine stalls, cuts off, runs fich

The car will start up and run. Okay for about three to four miles and then start to run rough and cut off, stalls nearly every time I stop! When I start it back up it idles real high then runs rough, running very rich as well and seems like the cars power or engine goes high and low almost like it is winding or surging! Up and down I cannot really explain it other than surging also the voltage meter seems to bounce in succession need a answer please. Thanks.

Check for a blown gasket between TBI and intake use choke cleaner if rpm changes you found it. Also, check vacuum lines for softness if soft replace them especially ones going to map sensor.
