I have just recently changed plugs, wires, fuel pump and filter on my car. My car was having trouble starting up. Took it to a shop and they told me it was a carburator issue. So I had it rebuilt. So now the problem is I start my car up let it idle down. Proceed to drive.. Drives ok but then shuts off. Before the car shut off i. Press the gas pedal to the floor and nothing. Wait a few minutes. Start the car back up and the same issue. Need help any ideas?

Have the timing checked. If it is ok, go back as you still have carb issues

I talked to the guy who worked on my car before said it wasn't a time issue. He believes it could have a to a hose connection issue. Could there be any truth or is he giving. Me the run around
