I have a problem with no power and no acceleration in high gear. It will not get above 2000 rpm's. I tried to do adjustment MAF. I also changed fuel filter and the problem got worse.
I do not know if this has anything do with MAF but the transmission will not downshift. I can pull the shifter into low and up shift fine no slip or any problems, but when I stop it stays in high gear until I manually shift it to low. Once I start to move I can put the shifter in drive and shifts fine if I can get rpm's up. Please help.

Have a transmission professional check this. It may be a roller clutch in the transmission is bad which is why you can shift from low to other gears because it is a different application.

Hey LANNYT1957,

Is the speedometer working? It could be a vehicle speed sensor that has gone out.

Please let me know

Best, Ken

First thing is to quit changing parts using shotgun approach to fix your car. Until you scan for codes you don't know what is wrong. That is why I said to go to a trans pro. He can scan it and see if it's a tcm or wiring issue. This can also be a torque converter clutch not disengaging. Or it's a valve body problem like one sticking
