My water pump and thermostat were just replaced due to it leaking coolant, but the engine was not overheating at this time. After the water pump and thermostat were replaced, the car drove fine for about a week and then I started noticing the coolant temperature would creep up if I drove on the highway or if I drove just a little aggressively. I took the car back to the shop and they changed the coolant temperature sensor and bled the coolant system. The car is still overheating when I drive on the highway or when I give it a decent amount of throttle input. I’m not sure what could be causing the issue.

I would start by checking for a blown head gasket and obstructions in front of the radiator like a plastic bag.

These guides should help us see what's going on:

Can I ask if you hear the cooling fan come on when the engine is overheating? If not please check the fuse#4 - 100 amp under the hood near the jump post, and fuse # 3 - 60 amp in the fuse panel under the hood as well. Here are the cooling fan wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.
