15w40 is mostly for diesel engines not gas. if they have synthetic get that in 0w30 as that is what is recommended or 5w30 if not available. air filter if used in dirt/gravel areas should be replaced every 6 months if not once a year. your car is listed at 4.2L for a oil fill Toyota genuine motor oil is also recommended or equivalent. Here is a guide to help walk you through the oil change with the oil type and capacity below.

Toyota's are a bit touchy when it comes to oil. Plus with modern engines you don't want a thicker oil in them as it can cause a lot of problems with the variable valve timing and the timing tensioners. Perhaps you could order the oil you need in a larger quantity? Or see if it's possible to have someone ship it to you? Not familiar with the way things work there. I'm more used to being able to buy any oil needed just about anywhere.

HMAC is correct on the air filters, also changing the cabin air filter at those intervals would be a good idea. Keeps the dust and crud out of the interior and let's the AC operate without restrictions.

You will require 4.2 liters or 0W-20 this is Toyota spec change the oil filter and always fit a new sump plug sea. I would recommend a genuine filter there not expensive, check all fluid levels, replace air filter and cabin filter at this service and rotate wheels front to back, visual inspect belts for cracking. Check hoses for signs of leaks. If you can remove a front and rear wheel to inspect brake pads, check tires for wear and inflation. Brake fluid is often replaced every two years as is coolant, there is a test to check the viability of both fluids. A mechanic can do this in a few minutes if you want to see how they are. If jacking up car always place on safety stands on firm level surface.

I have drained all my engine oils. Before I pour new bottle of engine oil, one of my friend erroneously started the engine for two minutes. As soon noticed, I turned off the engine. After some time, I pour new engine oil and then start again. I did not found any bad sound or any kind of problem still now. I want to know is there any problem if I drive the car now? Is there any solution if any problem arises in near future?Pls let me know as soon as possible.

Running the engine without oil is never a good thing.

Listen to engine for knocking, ticking, if you hear none, then you MAY be OK.

The only way to tell for sure is to dismantle the engine and check bearing clearence.

I have a 2001 corolla, and I have never had a problem with it, all services are up to date. Yesterday my engine oil pressure light came on, so I have checked oil and water and both seem to be fine. I can not see any leaks anywhere. However I do not know a whole lot about engines - does anyone have any ideas to check other specific things before I get it towed I need to change the oil to see if that helps?

Either a problem with the sending unit light or the engine is full of sludge and actually has low oil pressure. if the vehicle has its oil changed every 3000 miles you most likely dont have anything to worry about but if you don't change it every 3000 you could be in trouble. Here is a guid to help you change the oil with the oil type and capacity below

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-change-engine-oil-and-filter

GRADE .................... API SL Energy-Conserving or ILSAC multigrade engine oil
